This is contained in a statement released in Lagos on Saturday by the Founder of the platform, Mr Kelechi Ekegbe.

The statement said the platform in collaboration with Made-In-Nigeria Project, would hold a conference and exhibition aimed at creating a model of growth that would serve as catalyst for economic recovery for the non-oil and informal sector.
According to the statement, the conference, slated for Nov. 29, has the theme, `Possibilities Made In Nigeria – A re-direction towards economic growth, SME advancement and national transformation’.
Ekegbe said in the statement that the conference would facilitate exchange of ideas on the state of the nation, human capital strength, and the prospects in the country’s quest for self-sufficiency.
He added that discussions would also dwell on the opportunities that abound in the country even in the face of the daunting economic challenges.
The statement quotes Mr Adedeji Alebiosu, the Executive Director, Made In Nigeria Project, as saying, “We hope to capture the essence of the role Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play towards economic growth and transformation with a focus on the growing opportunities, possibilities and growth trajectory in the informal sector.
“Our focus on the growth of MSMEs hinges on the position SMEs play in every economy’s growth, which are cardinal to our national goal towards self-sufficiency.
“Moreso, we aim to celebrate and promote the existing innovative solutions that have been deployed in Nigeria through enterprise and entrepreneurial machinations, as synonymous with the national identity.”
According to the statement, the conference will also address government’s role in supporting entrepreneurs, access to finance, taxation, ease of doing business, and human capital.
