People Looking For Missing Women Keep Finding Other Bodies Instead

For the second week in a row, family members searching for a missing Missouri woman found the corpse of a missing man instead.

A search party for Jessica Runions found the body while looking near a road in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday. Police said they are investigating the corpse as the result of a potential crime.

Last week, the search party found the remains of a 21-year-old man in a creek bed. Police are considering his death a homicide.

“Two bodies two weeks in a row?” said Jessica’s father, father, John Runions, to the Associated Press. “It’s unbelievable. … We’re not going to stop looking until we find her. And if we find other people along the way, that’s good. Families deserve closure.”

Jessica Runions went missing in September after leaving a party. Her car was found burned on the side of the road, but she was nowhere in sight.

A man, Kylr Yust, was charged with burning the vehicle, but has not yet been charged in her disappearance. Investigators said that Yust is also being questioned in the 2007 disappearance of an ex-girlfriend.
