PIERCING is not a new thing with women. It has always been. Saheed Osupa, the popular yoruba fuji musician echoed in one of his songs that piercing was a punitive exercise for the first person who was pierced but it eventually beautified the person.

It became increasingly noticeable to identify ladies when you look at their ears. They carry some ornaments called earrings which come in different shapes and sizes.
Although, some don’t use it for either religious or professional reasons.
Undoubtedly, earrings have become trendy and it has changed from its traditional use. Some popular cultures allow men to wear it proudly. That’s not an issue as long as it’s a culture. Good or bad, it has come to stay with us. Some even believe it was used to identify slaves during the inglorious slave trade.
Piercing as a form of aesthetics has grown beyond the normal. It is customary to see ladies pierce unconventional parts of their bodies in the name of fashion. Just as it is true that too much salt can render a soup worthless, piercing unconventional parts has not just reduced the beauty of a lady but it has also reduced her worth in the material market. I see the ugliness of immodest piercing daily. Our ladies can do better by being moderate.
